Response to Redundancy

Having the key skills that employers look for in an employee can greatly improve the chances of finding work.

The Learning Skills Council (LSC) and the European Social Fund have together begun the 'Response to Redundancy' scheme, aimed at reducing unemployment and redundancy.

This scheme makes funding available for select training providers to deliver free training to those who are unemployed or at risk of redundancy, teaching the work skills they need to get back in to employment.

Opps Developments has consulted with employers to develop a series of two and three day workshops that deliver the skills most in demand by employers or that open other routes back in to employment.

So far workshops have been held in Bedford, Peterborough and Huntingdon and will continue to be held on a monthly basis in the East of England on topics such as Sales Skills, Customer Service and Start Your Own Business.
