If training is an important area in your organisation or you feel you could be getting more out of training then Learning Champions is the ideal course for you and your staff.

Getting the most out of your training investment

Often training is misused within an organisation or in some cases not used at all. In response the Learning Skills Council has developed a specialist training program aimed at helping organisations such as your own get the full benefits of training.

The scheme allows for between 1 and 4 or your staff to be coached as Learning Champions, developing the skills to determine exactly what training your organisation needs, where to find it and how to make sure it is carried out in the best possible way.

The course provides insider knowledge on training and gives the low-down on funding, how to ensure your training provider is up to scratch and how to analyse the results of training, making future training more effective.

Improved use of training can result in better staff motivation, greater company-wide productivity and an improvement in problem areas within the organisation.

Course Structure

• An initial 3 hour one-to-one introductory session at your place of work
• Two 3 hour group workshops at a nearby training venue
• A final 3 hour one-to-one session with your Learning Champions tutor

There are no exams to pass and upon completing the course the Learning Champion will have earned a level 3 qualification. The learner will be required to complete some learning on their own between sessions with their tutor.

Flexible and Free

The programme is completely free for organisations with less than 250 staff members and all learning materials are provided. One-to-one sessions can be planned around your work schedule and workshops are held on a monthly basis and booked at your discretion.

The course is most useful for someone who is responsible for training or who is able to arrange for training to take place and understands the organisation well. This could be senior managers, managers, HR staff members or administrators.
