Hello Everyone on PTLLS in Peterborough. How are you getting on? You might want to look closely at your theory assignments and start swapping ideas on how you are going to approach them. Likewise if anyone is getting to grips with a theory - share it with the rest of us.....please!!

Missing the community spirit of the training sessions, would be nice if could meet again before hand in date, feel that was the motivational part of the course, also missing your delivery of the sessions.

Hi Sal

At least you NACRO guys can meet up at work! Hope the assignments are going well.

Lets hope others join the forum - might feel less isolated then.

Good luck

Hi Sal

I would just use the same style you use for your theory assignments. Good luck B

Hi Barbara,
Just in process of reflectives for assignments', Please could you clarify whether it's all written and practical assignments I am reflecting on, and do I do individual for each of them or can I reflect on more than one subject at a time?

Asked other candidates and they don't seem to know so when I know I will inform others who don't have computer access.

Thank-you and best wishes,

Sally-Anne Buckley

Hello Sally

To be honest. I think it is best to reflect on as much as you possibly can i.e. all assignments.

But don't forget to reflect on your current practice too.

Hope it is all going well with you and the others.

It would be good to start getting draft assignments.

Best wishes

Hi all

Must admit I am struggling with these-if I am reading the course requirements correctly we should have a reflection on each assignment(so thats 7 at least) plus self evaluation of your lesson plan (practical 4) and self evaluation of the micro teach itself together with the peer evaluation (forming practical task 5). I suppose there are reflections in their own right.

Practical 1 was the scheme of work.
Practical 2 was the lesson plan from that SOW.
Practical 3 was the micro teach itself.
Practical 6 is the actual refelction logs themselves (does your CPD log form part of this as well?) and practical 7 is the summative profile & action plan.

Does that sound about right?

Hope it's all going well for everyone-am just doing my last theory assignment now!

Hi all

I think Jane has got it about right, a reflection on how you found each assignment would be a good way to make sure you have enough of a journal to show your thoughts as you have progressed. However I am not suggesting you complete 10+journal entries, consider reflecting on a couple of assignments at a time, therefore reducing the amount of written work.

I am looking forward to reading the finished work!

I have completed all assignments and reflected on every area covered.
completed reflective for each of my assignments, and my learning log. It has been tough and frustrating that my email stopped working. Now solved although too late to send drafts so fingers crossed for what I have done and pray that my hard work pays off.

good luck to every one else for Friday.
Thank-you for all the support you and Barbara have given.
