An agreed way of working is a policy or procedure in your organisation which you need to abide by.  Example:  Moving and positioning – there should always be 2 carers when using a hoist. Example: There needs to be a handover session for staff coming off and commencing a shift.   Example: When the fire alarm sounds you need to assemble at a designated point.

Person Centred Approaches means putting the person (service user) at the centre of all you do.  For example, providing them with information in a format and language they can relate too and understand fully, enabling them to make informed decisions and judgements encouraging them to have as much control over their lives as possible.
