Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship provides a complete and well-rounded training program with many benefits for employers and employees alike.

When recruiting, being able to include an apprenticeship as part of the package can make a position very attractive to prospective applicants, allowing you to interview the best talent and reduce the recruitment cost. Where existing employees undertake an apprenticeship, studies have shown that motivation and productivity are increased along with employee retention rate, on top of all the other benefits that having a well trained employee brings.

An apprenticeship is a tool used by organisations that considers the long term as well as the short. They can effectively solve issues of progression, with an employee "home grown" through an apprenticeship providing the material for future managers and expert practitioners. Furthermore, skills shortages are prevented before they occur, maintaining the competitiveness of your business.

The apprentices' wages are met by the organisation and there is a level of commitment required in allowing the apprentice to attend training in-house. The funding of the training is supported by the government.
